Reporting platform moves to offer ESG screening service

Fundrella, the fund reporting platform, is in the process of launching a new service which aims to help fund selectors align their searches with their own ESG preferences and sustainable investment policies.

The fund reporting platform Fundrella is in the process of launching a new service which aims to help fund selectors align their searches with their own ESG preferences and sustainable investment policies.

The firm was launched in 2019 in a bid to streamline standardised reporting by fund companies to professional investors. It has since evolved into a qualitative fund information platform to support the fund selection process between fund companies and professional investors.

“Nordic ESG preferences are well established while also evolving in a changing environment,” said Wava Bodin, founder and CEO of Fundrella. She added: “I believe this fund-level information also provides valuable input to client discussions, serving both professional investors and their asset managers in achieving goals for sustainable investing.”

Professional investors will be able to add their own ESG criteria and policies on the platform and will then be able to see how aligned each fund is with their policy and ESG preferences. Asset managers will also benefit from the new service as they will be able to see how well their products are aligned with their clients´ ESG preferences as well as compare their position to that of their peers.

The new ESG feature, called “My ESG” will be based on the new ESG disclosure standards for investment products developed by CFA Institute. It will also incorporate the new EU directives and regulation on asset managers to provide sufficient disclosure, including alignment with the forthcoming EU Taxonomy. The new ESG functionality will be available on the Fundrella platform this month.
